SOUTH BOSTON SCHOOLHOUSE
The Greek Revival structure was originally built as a Victorian era schoolhouse in the heart of South Boston in 1890. Over time, it was split up by and turned into condos, and then again back to a single family. The clients came to us after living in the home for nearly a decade looking to remodel the kitchen, primary bath, and build an addition to house a primary bedroom and large mudroom bringing much needed storage and cohesion to the patchwork home. Throughout the design process, great care was given to preserve original details while giving a fresh, modern update.
